CJFE Program Assistant
Job OpeningCanadian Journalists for Free Expression (CJFE) is soliciting applications for the temporary 11-week position of Program Assistant, starting on Monday, June 19. The job is open to all post-secondary students who are planning to return to full-time studies in the fall of 2006. CJFE is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Toronto that works to defend press freedom and freedom of expression in Canada and around the world. To that end, CJFE engages in various activities, including management of the International Freedom of Expression Exchange (IFEX) Clearing House, the Journalists in Distress Fund, the International Press Freedom Awards, as well as special public events on World Press Freedom Day and Word on the Street. Job description: The Program Assistant, will report to the Program Manager and will be responsible for the following:
