Monday, June 18, 2007Canadian Journalists for Free Expression (CJFE) and PEN Canada will present an exclusive screening of the film, "A Mighty Heart" based on the life of journalists Daniel and Marianne Pearl on Thursday, June 21, 2007. On January 23, 2002, Daniel Pearl, South Asia bureau chief for The Wall Street Journal, was abducted while on his way to an interview in downtown Karachi, Pakistan. He was murdered not long after.
