Al Jazeera English journalists facing terrorism charges in Egypt appeared in court for the eighth time today, where the session was marked by a number of disturbing developments. Three defense lawyers for Peter Greste and Baher Mohamed quit the case, citing disagreements with the Al Jazeera network. On top of that, a lawyer for Mohamed Fahmy revealed that prosecutors were demanding that the defense pay $168,704 USD to get copies of the evidence against their clients.
